Sleep Deprivation

Standard

So I get it, being a new mom means that you don’t get to sleep as much anymore.  Everyone warned me about it and I was ready for it.  But seriously being told about it, and thinking I’m ready for it, I AM NOT READY AND IT SUCKS.

In the past 14 days, Allanie has had 3 all nighters, two of them were this week.  Maybe she’s having a growth spurt, maybe she still has her nights and days mixed up, maybe she naps too much, MAYBE I’M GOING OUT OF MY FREAKING MIND!

I am so cranky today that nothing can make me feel better, so that’s why I’m blogging about my frustrations.

  1. I’m so sorry. Everything is so much worse when we don’t get enough sleep. I had this fantasy that being a mom was going to be so wonderful and it is but you know what? It’s damn hard. Not just the baby stage but every single stage. I swear as they get older it gets harder and you lose plenty more sleep. There are no days off or time outs. You are full on mom until the day you take your last breath. You can do this though. This part will pass I promise and someday you will look back when your child is a senior in high school and wish to God you could go back to the year she was a baby. Believe me I know because I am right there. It’s okay to complain. Sometimes, even though moms are superheroes, we need support. I am sending you some love and support right now. You’ve got this. I believe in you❤️
