Happy Easter with Eggs!

Standard

So, I’ve never really celebrated Easter before.  But this year is different because my boyfriend and his family loves Easter and I”ll be spending it with them this Sunday at Church and then a nice Sunday Easter Dinner at his parents home.  I haven’t thought too much about making an Easter Card because… I wasn’t too sure what Easter was all about! LOL  But I know the general commercialized version of Easter, which is eggs and bunnies and flowers, and pastel colors and chocolate etc etc etc LOL  Of course that’s not what the REAL Easter is about.  However, the commercialized version gives me more time to think about a Card I would make.

As I’m sitting in my living room watching Gossip Girl (LOL yes! I love that show! LOL)  I started playing around with what I had in order to make an Easter Card, without any ‘easterly’ things in my stamp sets other than a stamp from my Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set that says “HAPPY EASTER” on it! lol

Well this is what I came up with…and I must say.. I was pretty proud of myself!  I was so proud that I decided to make multiple cards for my coworkers!  (and stayed up way past my bedtime to finish! LOL)

Materials I Used (all from Stampin’ Up!):

  • Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Vintage Tags (sale-a-bration). Itty Bitty Backgrounds
  • Ink Pad: Soft Suede, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Pale Plum
  • Card Stock: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Tea Party DSP, old olive, close to cocoa
  • Accessories: Chocolate Chip Gros Grain Ribbon, wide oval punch, modern label punch, curly label punch, sponges, vintage brads, sizzlet dies: little leaves, dimensionals,
